meet the author
I’m Karen Pok: artist, author and journal keeper. I was raised in Brazil and currently living in Australia. I’ve lived in a van for 6 months travelling around Australia, an experience that deepened my love for slow living. Among all the places I’ve been, Japan holds my hearts as my favourite country, and it’s culture is a huge source of inspiration for me.
I’m in favour of romanticising the daily life, after all, we are the scriptwriters of our own story, and it’s up to us to see it from a more optimistic lenses.
Through my art, workshops and writing, I invite people to slow down, connect with themselves, and create a life filled with meaning and joy.
